This is a welcome post for our new and young developers who joined us enabling team expansion and energy levels.
Working with them has increased our responsibility in mentoring and answering to their frequent questions has made us evaluate our past work! We did noticed them pickup faster on 5.1.0 platform and individually take up new initiatives!
Our service team who were committed on several major projects, were able to get phase-closures last week. They pooled in several feedback which were identified as areas of improvement in the product.
Our migration team are getting steady flow of work now, to help customers migrate from legacy or locked-in applications to vtiger CRM, this knowledge is going to be helpful in making the process of switch to happen seamlessly. Well, there will be challenges but I’m sure our community developers can share their experience they have been through or worked for in this.
Its nearly a month since last update, we were quite anxious to get more support from our community developers in getting bug fixes for 5.2.0 but did not see much movement. Hope it will gradually improve.
More updates to follow from product team, who are staying focused on bug-fixes and reviewing ample amount of enhancements or feature request that has queued up. Will keep you posted.
vtmessages an add-on module for vtiger CRM 5.1.0 is now available.

We are creating a network of highly qualified companies and professionals, who offer solutions for customer relationship management (CRM) and business processes management (BPM) using vtiger CRM as a software base.
As the base of our solutions, we find a version of vtiger CRM continuously updated, full of additional features, completely adapted to local countries markets (Italian, Spanish, …)
As a support to the software platform, we provides hosting, assistance, development, training and certification services, along with solutions for vertical markets.

Webservice API introduced in vtiger CRM 5.1.0 are being used to achieve integration or build extended applications today.
We are happy to see the increasing use of vtwsclib library as well
Inspecting the result of Webservice API query was the time-killer many times, this triggered us to quickly build the tool: vtwsbrowser
It helps you to execute the query and watch the result from browser. Refer documentation for more details.

Our team had a busy (and exciting) end-of-year 2009, as many customizations rolled in that fell into diverse categories like migrating from popular CRMs or in-house developed applications, integrating with third-party applications.
It was a good learning experience for us. Many tools and libraries built during the process is now pipelined for integration.
On the development front, we had discussions over the community feedback on blog/forum comments which were targeted towards getting involved in the development.
We have created “Getting Involved” section on wiki.vtiger.com, which should let you get started and join us in 5.2.0 development.
We are now targeting to get closure on (critical, blocker, major) issues reported and put out a validation build.If you a patch ready for any open issue, update it on the ticket and post a message to developer mailing list.
Your suggestions and feedback will help us streamline the collaborative development.
